Socio-Political Rants
I came away from the WTO protests completely disillusioned. The following photographs explains why. There were more onlookers, journalists, and "photographers" than protesters, who were being cheered on like it was a gladiator fight. The real concerns of the farm subsidies and inequality of trade gets lost in this first world entertainment.
I felt truly embarrassed and I found no reason to participate. I took photographs of the whole mass on heads and put my camera away, minutes before the Police turned on the water canons on the "protesters," I am sorry, I really had ZERO sympathy for anyone who was there that day who got caught up in any of "violence," When police is already spraying pepper spray, and the crowd is pulling down fences, the only reason anyone stays is for the thrill of the ongoing action and cannot be surprised if it escalates.
Dear Journalists, photographers, onlookers. See yourself as the feeding frenzy that you were.
Game Point: Find a protester in the crowd.
Getting the "perfect" action shot
One protester vs hundreds of onlookers.
Wah.. so close to the action!
Police pepper sprays the few protesters, the crowd just gets bigger. More Photos

Standing by, looking on, taking photos. This was different from your actions … how?
Try not to be so judgemental. You have no idea what those onlookers were doing there, unless perchance you inerviewed some of them.
