Zhong Guo, Middle Kingdom
Through this site I was approached by a stranger who claimed to have a watch that was given by the Communist Government to the General who was in charge of the June 4th Tiananmen Square Crackdown. Of course he was enquiring if I would like to purchase it.
I have a evidence about 6.4. After June 4th Crackdown, Government of
Beijing shamefully gave a watch to above toregimental commander as "award". I
don’t want to keep this watch anymore and I would like to sell it to a place
where collect evidences of 6.4.
Can you please give me more information? What is the
watch. How did you get it. Do you have any documents
to prove it’s real?
Where are you?
Hi,
Thanks for your response. By security reason, I cannot provide the
sources. I only can tell you that is real. I attch some pictures of the watch and you can find out. Recently, I have tied finance for my family that is a big
reason for me to sell this watch. If you collect it for your organization, I am asking a price around $10,000 and if you are individual collector, the price is no less than $8,000. Right after June 4, 1989, there was a army commander sold same watch to a American for $3,000. I am asking reasonable price right now. Please see the attachment.
Thanks for your time. Bing
Thanks for the photo, but there is there no way I can
verify whether this is or not. Do you have
letters or anything? Otherwise it’s not worth anything
in terms of history or collectables. Without documentation it’s simply a watch from the Chinese government to anyone. As far as anyone is concerned it could be a left over from the manufacturer.
Let me know if you can give me anything.
Yan
Of course he had nothing:
Hi,
Sorry about it. I did not have any documents to prove it. I only know that the watch was given as award or souvenir" to a commander of battalion or regimental. I don’t think everyone can get it and they were made after June 4, 1989 by the government of Beijing. Thanks for your time. Bing
I always wondered how many other people he sent that letter to and if anyone actually fell for the scam.

Parasites.
