Broken into Haunted House Short Video

A few months ago, the street racers and I broke into an abandoned school rumoured to be haunted and explored the grounds. I cut what I recorded into a six minute experimental documentary which means, i made a film with real footage but didn’t cut it like people expect, as in with talking heads and lots of explanation. It is a nod to cinema verite in the form of digital art. In fact, there are no voices at all except in the background is a track from reknowned Hong Kong DJ/Teacher/Promoter/Producer  Tszpun, who kindly allowed me to use his music.

It’s a mediation on light and allows the subjects and the place to remain mysterious. It is something I am trying to do in all my visual work. Create a mood and invite the audience to a place they may have not come across before and let them find their own way.

And no it’s not a "film," and yes it’s created for the context of a contemporary art museum rather than the cinemas.
