Seeking Guerilla Artist: Hong Kong

Hong Kong

For the last three weeks I have been seeing more and more of this person’s work around the city. I am looking for this artist. Anyone know? My guess is he’s male 24-32, English speaking, could be Chinese, might not be. But could be a grrl too, coz of the butterfly and hearts motifs. Maybe two people? Possibly from New York? As that’s the only place I have come across this paper bill style street art but it doesn’t mean that’s the case. A person there did a series of giant Chairman Mao paper cuttings. I thought that was pretty crazy. I wonder how you make these? Want to find out. Want to collaborate.

Thanks

PS. What is this kind of art even called? bill art? poster art? Does it have a name? (Although I can just hear my dad grumble, "Defacement of public property is what this is. My Dear.") But that’s not what I mean.

Just google for ‘street art’. You’ll get a lot of grafitti as well, but it’s in there.

As for grafitti art. Seems obvious now you say it. Will see if there is a “how to!” ha!
