Open Letter to the Person or People who posed as “fans of Glutter.”

If any of my readers truly wrote abusive emails to other bloggers over the Asian Blog Awards, claiming to be “fans” of Glutter I suggest whomever you are, to write an apology to the said women, and probably one to me too. I don’t appreciate having to apologize to people I don’t know existed for the behavior of people I am not responsible for.

If it’s the people I think it is, which are the very same people who abused me this time last year, (How strange it is that the only people who seem to receive such letters are women I am not linked to) and thought it would be fun to drag my name through the mud over your own perverse self indulgent enjoyment. I want to congratulate you for doing it again. And go see a psychiatrist.

Mature and stable men don’t tend to pose as someone other than himself to hurt strangers’ feelings in order to get at someone else. It’s even more pathetic if the reason for that (as you claimed to be XXXX as well) because both of us had more votes than you or your friend. I know some people get a kick out of hurting women bloggers feelings, but honestly it’s time to find something more productive to spend your time on.

I am much disappointed, that this stuff still happens on the otherside of the internet. (This is the fifth possibly the sixth time in a little over a year, where women bloggers has been abused, and it always involve the same group of people -a little suspicious don’t you think?)

A really unimpressed,Yan,
who currently has far more serious stuff to worry about.

  1. Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. 😦 Bugger all such pukgaai.
BTW, shameless plug for a friend/grad school classmate, but, he just put out a history on the hip hop generation you might find interesting. Not a bad site either. Can’t make html links in here so I’m dropping the URL in here. Peace.

  2. Hi Yan
Thanks for your comment over on my blog, I appreciate the time you took. I had no idea that you went through such crap during last year’s awards. And reading about Conrad using your photo like that, it made me really angry. Sometimes I feel that people pick on blogs like yours or Mia’s or even mine just because it is written by a female. What is it about awards, (the desire to win a little button that they can stick on the corner of their blog saying “Winner”??) that bring out the ugly side of people.

  3. Hi Yan
Again, thanks for your comments and please don’t feel you have to apologise, I didn’t think that you solicited such ‘support’ from your readers. As for Spirit Fingers question above, I think ‘we’ were targeted because we are female perhaps there are a number of males who are threatened in their every day life by strong, competent, successful women and they are unable to lash out at them in ‘real life’ so chose us as targets while safely behind their anonymous computer screens. Yes I am angry, I was upset, but I do also feel a small amount of pity for someone that is so insecure about women that they target sites like ours. Not for a moment am I suggesting I’m strong, competent or successful BTW, if I were then I wouldn’t be half as discombobulated as I am! Take care. Mia
