Saturday Night Fever Isn’t Really a Dance Movie…

I watched Saturday Night Fever for the first time. It was not what I expected at all. Family fighting, making your mom cry, date/gang rape, drug use, suicide, priests quitting the church. I thought it was a dance movie. Something like Ballroom Dancing or Dirty Dancing,   it wasn’t. It was so hard core. I suggest all of you who have not seen it and think it’s something else go see it. It such a trip. Crazy movie.

  1. The movie was based on a famous piece of New York journalism that detailed the lives of disco patrons in the late ’70s.
And Travolta was nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of Tony Manero, if you can believe it.
