This week’s 60 minutes did a feature on Jon Stewart, his new book and mentioned his appearance on Crossfire -a really obnoxious CNN “news” program. Mainly he went on and told them they sucked, and that partisan politics is irresponsible and time for genuine debate. I thought it was most interesting.
Thanks to Kim from toasted kitten I got to watch the video.
Nothing better than watch a reasonable man speak to a brimming hell-and-fury-conservative to expose true idiocy. Even better when I hear Jon say what’s on my mind by calling Carson Tucker a dick. Which he is.
On the HK front, everything is so stupid, petty and of non consequence right now, I have zero comment lest I actually have to face how disillusioning the situation really is over all.
The most irritating thing about all Jon Stewart interviews is that his interviewers cannot ask a decent question. What kind of question is “Do you think it’ll be better for your career if Bush wins?” That 60 Minutes interview was terrible – can’t the guy ask him a question other than “Kerry?” or “Bush?” (About as bad as the Jay Leno interview, too.) He’s answered it a million times before. I also can’t shake the feeling that all his interviewers are totally jealous of him because Stewart doesn’t have a journalistic career on the line so he can say whatever he wants.

Stewart’s performance on Crossfire was brilliant. That Tucker guy looked like an fool. Loved it.
