Vote for US President Even if You’re Not American…

Socio-Political Rants

A London based, political/art/media/flash mob group has created a site where non-Americans can vote in a mock US presidential election; the idea is to see how global view of American leadership differs (or is the same) from the country itself. The result will be communicated to the US media 48 hours before the real vote.

Even if you are not a US citizen, the November 2 presidential election will have a huge impact on your life. The very idea of democracy requires that you should have a say in choosing who determines your destiny.

So here you go: Global Vote

  1. The goofy mood probably has something to do with lack of sleep, surplus of stress, gallons of caffeine, and a sense of gallows humor I seem to have developed…
I hope hope hope that nimrod doesn’t win the election. I fear for world stability if he does. Seriously. Since he’s bound by a two-term limit, he won’t be constrained with worries that his radical behavior won’t get him re-elected. Crazy cowboy bastard might try invading Syria or Iran or North Korea.
If he wins, I’ll wallow in world commiseration for a while, and then maybe move to Canada 🙂

  2. If any, the influence this will have is probably the opposite. Americans don’t like to be told what to think by foreigners. After all, America is the land of the free, home of the brave, and is always right. Even when they’re not.
