My Government Told Me to Remove Child Porn From My Computer?

Hong Kong

Public service announcement: Possessing Child pornography is now illegal in Hong Kong, those who are found possessing it will be prosecuted. We suggest you delete all child porn off your hard drive and do not accept emails containing those materials.

Okay? Why are they giving people warnings? Shouldn’t they just go in and bust the assholes and put them in jail? It’s not like the whole of HK is holding child porn on their computers, (although some people’s computers do tread a fine line, coz underage = child for all intent and purposes).

I am glad it’s now illegal, but the way they told all of us on the radio was a little weird and uncomfortable. My friend looked at me and said, “The government just told you to go home now and clean out your computer.” Very funny.

I have to say, one of the reasons I stopped ICQing was that once I was sent a link which lead me to a site like that. I thought it was something my friend “Helen” was sending to me, but that “Helen” wasn’t my “Helen.”

My life has never been the same since. I freaked out as the pop up windows were coming with images of toddlers, little girls and multiple grown men at once, from all over the world and all races. The network is huge obviously. Eventually when my brain clicked back on I turned off my computer rather than to fight it to shut down.

It’s the only time in my life I decided I believed in death penalty and do away with the legal system. Personally I think men who perpetuate this stuff either in terms of creating it, or buying it (coz people who buy are the ones who encourage those who make to do it.) should just be taken out in the back and shot in the head. Violence first coz nobody should have to listen to excuses. Some people are just sick in a really bad way.

Well I guess like my government I should also suggest to those who collect this stuff maybe you should delete it too, coz it’s not just sick but now illegal. On the other hand cops busting these people will make my day. So maybe you should keep it on and then look at it while at work or something.

  1. know what? I hope they succeed too. Now China is just one more place assholes like that won’t be able to host their servers.
Sure, the most depraved of the bunch will just move their servers to kenya or something, but I prefer to think of it in the positive light 🙂
Back when I had ICQ , I heard stories like that all the time. Fortunately, most of the names never matched anyone I knew, and the descriptions made it obvious it was just low-class advertising. ie: “I’m a hot college chick, check out my new Webcam, etc….”
would be good to see some arrests soon on this 🙂

  2. The server for that page I saw was Russian. I kept the URL hoping to be able to send it into somewhere. No one I contacted could do a thing about it. I wished I knew some serious hackers coz then they could go in and shut it down and do some damage. Like I think that’s what hackers should be spending thier time doing. Shutting down child porn sites. Do something good with their knowledge.
I hope they arrest people soon. There was this guy who went to this bar called Dublin Jacks in HK, and old expat guy who did the whole wanchai thing and he was really wierd. My friend worked with him and said some of the other men saw these photos of little boys in his office once. He was just wierd. Not even the people in the bar particularly ever took to him. But now I can’t even go into that place without thinking about how he might be there, so I don’t.

  3. There is nothing wrong with hackers and as it is very obvious jealously has settled in.
Your computer won’t restart, got some worm, downloading another bit of virus protection and the Spam just keeps on coming.
The Hacker can repair all of this without necessarily causing any computer problems to others.
There was a guy in school in The Peak who got into this online Off License and ordered a split case of spirits for samples – delivered to the dorm – no charge but great session for all at the expense of some gigantic conglomerate who would not invest in proper precaution.

  4. I agree, the warning to “clean out your computers” is goofy, considering that the proclamation that possession of such materials is henceforth illegal and subject to prosecution. Why give child pornographers a forewarning to clean out their caches? It would be better policy to proclaim the illegality, pause briefly, and then publicly ferret offenders out. While I’m aware of the condition of HK prisons, in American prisons, child pornographers are subject to gang rapes, beatings and execution. I think that the just desert of proven and convicted child rapist/molesters/etc., is death.

  5. Actually our prisons are probably the best in the world in terms of niceness. The guy from PETA who have been arrested world wide for his “I rather go naked than wear fur” campaign wrote a piece about it, proclaiming that the prisons in HK were not only the “best cleanest and nicest in the world” but also, “Had better food that my hotel.”
However, yesterday the chief of prison services in the Stanley prison was stabbed by a “Homemade” knife, according the the SCMP, (Stupid Crummy Miopic Paper). I thought that was terrible but obviously not HOMEMADE? I checked the article it was written by a native speaker (always give someone some slack if their last name is Chan or something.)

  6. I recall training I received during my last job that brought me into contact with fellows from the US Bureau of Prisons. They showed me pictures of weapons that prisoners had fashioned out of toothbrushes, combs, bits of broken glass: out of any material that was relatively hard that could be sharpened to a point and concealed. Horrible things – looked like ice picks for the most part. Terribly effective when they were stuck into the bodies of their victims. I suspect these weapons were what the official referred to as “homemade.”
B/c of regular cell checks, the prisoners hid these weapons on their person. More often than not, em, in their rectums. (yowch!)

  7. Hmm. I missed this reply completely until now. When I read something like that. I sometimes wonder what’s the point of prisons if we don’t try and reform these people. They go right back into the world as they are.
The reason I am on here is that some FREAK, LOSER, DICK HEAD searched into this site with the obvious “free child porn” and another searched into here with “How do I delete Child Porn in my computer.”
My note to him is DON’T. I hope you go to jail.

  8. I’d just like to be able to go to game rooms, and play the games without seeing all the porn advertisements. BAN them from the game rooms.Believe me,…… if thats what is on your mind,…. you DON’T need ads to get you to go to their sites.
