  1. She was indeed a treasure for us who was internationally known…even the Economist has an obituary for her in this week’s issue. I’m old enough to remember the passing of the Beyond’s lead singer and her death seems as much unexpected, if not more tragic.

  2. Although late, this reply is in regards to one of the comments left. Anita Mui was aware that she had cancer and her affliction/battle was made public (albeit late in the cancer lifestage). And yes, it’s true that the public was not completely aware of how deeply the disease had affected her. But my point is, her unfortunate passing was not as unexpected as the death of Beyond’s lead singer. His death was an accident, which means that there was no prior reason to suspect death was near. I will not comment on which death was more tragic as I believe both were unfortunate and the degrees of tragedy we each feel is personal.

  3. Okay. I find where this conversation is going tasteless. Anyone who feels the need to comment on this or argue about this, please don’t bother. It will be deleted. I think when people are gone it’s best not to discuss how they died, just accept that they are no longer here. Trust me. At this point due to personal circumstances, I learnt just let the person go because they are not here. How they died is irrelevant.
