Goodbye Anita Mui

I knew I had a reason to keep this for 18 years. My first ever Anita Mui Concert. My First Ever Concert. How Lasting an Impression.

Anita Mui’s Funeral Will be Held on Jan 11th 2003, at the Hong Kong funeral home. Starting at 4pm the wake will be made public for fans to pay their last respects. Police and organizers predict an estimated 10,000 people will turn up. All five basket ball courts will be openned as waiting area.

As a personal suggestion from someone who went to Leslie’s wake, if you decide to attend, turn up early, wear black, and expect to throw your flowers in a pile on the floor outside. It will be complete mayhem. Just be prepared.

  1. I love Mui-gei. I’ve been listening to all her old songs lately. sigh She was the original “bad girl”, in my opinion. And no one can match her voice for range.

  2. Haven’t recovered. No, I’m still hurt by Leslie’s departure, then my Dad passed away of a heart attack on Dec. 11. Now Anita left to end this funny year. Argh. Goodbye all, all of you, Leslie, Papa, and Anita, are my inspirations of hard work and warm personalities. I love you all.

  4. Anita gave a good example of life – be assertative and courageous, do our best while we still living to help the helpless, do not be afraid of death……
The absence of Anita in the music world will be deeply missed. Anita is irreplaceable.

  6. I am Anita Mui. Someone brought me back to life. I have been reincarnated. I’m alive again. This is no joke. I will perform songs from the 80’s to current at the concert I performed on November 2003. I brought Leslie Cheung with me. We are getting married.
