Hypocrisy: US Supports Democracy in HK

Hong Kong, Sociopolitio rants

Oh I forgot… In the paper on Sunday: Some US department in HK wrote a statement saying that for the stability of HK to continue China should implement universal suffrage in 2008. China of course issued a statement telling the US to back off and that if they really supported stability they would butt out, retract the statement and keep it to themselves.

I found the whole thing HALARIOUS, because I turned on the TV just in time to catch a 60 minutes piece on “Operation Iraqi Freedom??” Which mainly stated, “It looks as if the US government may just put in place a government that supports their policies and do away with giving Iraqis any type of western style democracy. A disaster and a huge disappointment to many.”

I heard that rolled my eyes and switched to watching some horses run around the race track instead.

Anyway, thanks for the statement, US department of something for supporting our cause, as I know who put it out is a different bunch to the people who aren’t going to give democracy to Iraqis.

But as a government and an entity you are all such hypocrites. So don’t start patting yourself on the back coz that’s like putting blinders on as you run round a few more times before continuing to win the grand prize of oil interests and hegemony.
