I did Love Matrix Revolutions: Maybe Not EVERY Minute of it.

Glutter Plugs and Doodles

I just saw the film again, but this time I was armed with hot dogs, pop corn and Mrs. Field’s cookies. My friend was like, “Why do you have all this food?” and I told him coz it was actually hyper boring for the first hour and I needed distraction. He was like, “What you seen this before? Why didn’t you tell me?” and I replied, “Coz it’s kinda shit, and I didn’t want you to know until we got tickets.”

Anyway, he didn’t want to partake in my pig fest, but about an hour into it, I went and got nachos and passed him the box every time a really bad line came up, (“Oh she is in love. She will kill all of us!,” “I knew by looking at your face, you didn’t know if you were coming back, just like when you looked at mine, you knew I was coming with you.”) He seemed grateful I was there for emotional support.

In fact I enjoyed the movie even more this time, because I didn’t even bother to listen to the lines, just let the images wash over me. And when it finally got to the last fight scene between Neo and Mr. Smith, I was all into it. Thinking this must be the best fight scene I have ever seen, just kung fu in the most spectacular city setting and each hit with its exponential impact. Ultra cool, slow motion, Keanu looking like he might really be able to save the world and me in particular.

I don’t think I could even live through the lines, “Oh, you wore it?” “What I never took it off.” / “But Captain, I never finished the training program!” “Neither did I.”

But I could see those five minutes on a big screen again.

(If you think I am nuts, just wait until I start reviewing long, slow, bulky, ponderous, German art films with a premise and no story. I like those too.)

PS. I Actually Thought the Matrix Reloaded Revolutions was Good?

  1. Yeah it was pretty cool. I have a friend who said the last fight scene was crap, he said it was like a really poxy dragonballZ ripoff. I thought it was okay(the last fight scene), but not that special. I liked the face of the machines.

  2. I’m quite proud that I haven’t seen it, and have no plans. Those two freakazoid brothers should have just left it at the first movie, and ended the trilogy there.
I don’t even think the third is in theaters anymore.
