Testimonials:

Stephanie, 10/28/2003:

When I first met Yan, we were calling her Yvonne. It is hard to believe that 8 years have passed since then. I’ve seen her with hair, no hair, blue hair, and varying degrees in between. Yan is truly unique…exceptionally brilliant, immensely talented, and one of the few people in the world able to pull off being a bona fide drama queen and make it a badge of honor. This is because Yan truly LIVES and experiences life with full passion at all times…unlike the majority of sheep in this world. As I have said before, I hope to be hanging out with her someday when I’m 80…on a sandy beach, hanging out in a cabana sipping cold mojitos, flirting with the shirtless, young men playing volleyball.

Amy, 10/28/2003:

Know each other a long while now and yet Yan says nada about me in my testimonial *pout. Am inclined to say nada back but its impossible to say NOTHING about Yan. She’s one of a kind – creative, explorative, inquisitive, intelligent…ok, ok, i’ll stop with the unctuous adjectives. My grey matter practically smokes when she’s around with her fascinating perspectives on the world we live in & the people that inhabit it. Certainly never a dull moment when Yan’s about…dream on if ur planning an early nite! Anyway Yan, will you hurry up n get your first book out, am impatient to get my hands on it. And BTW I’m big and ugly enough to handle insults, come on write me a proper testimonial!!

Joel, 10/28/2003:

i hipped yan to this courier agency for free tickets to the states and went with her to newyork (and she even stayed an extra two weeks), yet i forced her to go. i tried to educate yan in the finer points of music and go to cool shows with her, and so i ‘forced’ her to listen jazz all day and all night because she’d rather make a snowman. i helped her not get lost on newyork trains or buses, but she’d rather take a taxi. but after not having seen her for quite a while, i wouldn’t mind seeing yan sometime soon if she’d get off the net and out of her house.

Natasha, 10/28/2003:

First of all, its not dog food, its tofu fa. You need a better monitor girl! Well. Yan is quite possibly the only person I have ever talked to for 18 hours straight sober. She enjoys dissecting human behaviour and the woes of society as much as the next person, ie, me. She’s idealistic but practical, creative yet logical and weelll.. just a smart sassy kinda chica! hehe..when was the last time if ever, i used the word sassy!?
