“What Chinese and foreign blogs have in common is that most are very boring and are only nice for the authors. The big difference is that while foreign blogs are dominated by a combination of male nerds and professionals – including journalists – Chinese blogs are mostly neatly designed websites, done by good-looking young women. Unfortunately, also most good-looking young Chinese women tend to have lives that are as boring as those of their nerdy counterparts.”
Blah. I am not boring, is he implying I am not good looking? I know he said “tend to”. But still! Sulk…
Actually, joshing aside, I could go on how just the use of “Good Looking Chinese Women” in general terms as a first and only discription of writers problematic and eye rolling. Don’t see him mentioning the ungood looks of China male bloggers. No, No, Just the women, because you know content don’t matter as much as our looks.
Asian Fetish Rating: HIGH.

it’s not about the looks.

Isn’t it that of lately Hong Kong Bloggers are becoming a “pain in the ass” of many?
Is that why almost everyone is being so kind to us?
If someone says something bad about you [us] it must only mean that you have something that they do not.
Jealousy was a inborn gift for humanity.
I’d just say… Hong Kong Bloggers REIGN!

If I can be personally bitter, I think this answers my question on why Chinese women get the links on his blog, but not expatriate males, or Chinese males.
In fact, in one case, he links and has multiple discussions with a classmate of mine, yet never acknowledges this fact: we are doing the same kind of work, with different approaches.
I’m not pretty enough.
