Cutting my Hand Saving Fish.

Just a grrl

My latest diving injury is the best. I cut my hand while destroying an illegal fish trap in the Ping Chau Marine reserve while freeing an alpha female parrot fish and a young parrot fish in the coral reef. I was so happy when they swam free, even when i cut my hand up.

You know what I hate? People who purposely destroy the environment. Half the time when I am hiking or going to the beach I end up picking after people who are so unconscientious of their surroundings by leaving rubbish all over the place. Even when I was hanging out with the street racers, I would insist they pick up the trash after themselves. I have never felt such a satisfaction in hurting myself as I did today. It's really a habit I started in college when I lived on the beach in LA, coz mainly the beach was my backyard, and I didn't understand why anyone would leave stuff in it.

I haven't updated the blog much because I promised my free time will be taken up with either swimming or going to the gym and the weekends were for hiking or water sports. I realized today that I have done this every weekend for over eight weeks now.

When I have some time I am going to write up where I have been and how to get there. It's been good.

  1. Shake and pop! Haven’t heard you mention street racers for quite some time. This being the 10 year anniversary for Z.Team Yossi, we are going to have a BBQ/Poolside Lazy Afternoon to celebrate – it was about the cars back then for sure, but with maturity, it’s about the lifestyle and the people around you – so this 10 year hindsight is focusing on the people and good times rather than the cars (which are forever hot in our hearts).
Well, in other news getting away from the PC will make you feel much better and more healthy – you may have noticed with RACINGMIX as well that posts are not as frequent as before.
    Miss ya Glutter!

  3. Hi Yan, Please continue to keep your eyes open when diving, hiking etc. in the natural world. Whether it’s freeing trapped fish, picking up trash potentially dangerous to wildlife (discarded fishing line, plastic bags, balloons, etc.), you are doing an important service for our Mother. Just stumbled into your site from Global Voices. The little bit I’ve read so far is intriguing, plan to read much more!
