The Link to the BBC World Service Debate I was on.

Zhong Guo.

I was on the BBC World Service Last night for about a half hour
debating the topic of Chinese Censorship. My friend said the link was
impossible to find on the site. So here it is. Listen

And for the record, I didn’t say that I don’t like censorship because it bans my MY BLOG!! (World: Have Your Say Page)
The question was "Does Censorship affect you PERSONALLY." And I
answered "Yes. It does. My site is banned in China, and that I am
annoyed and saddened that a billion people cannot read what I have to
say because it is deemed unsuitable by an unelected government." (It’s
much better in context.)

Although as megalomaniacal that excerpt made me sound (uck). What i
didn’t say was, "Internet Censorship doesn’t bother me because I have cable."
or "Not really coz I know how to use a proxie." Coz being smart enough
to use a work around doesn’t take away the fact 62 people are in jail
in China for thought infractions due to material posted on the internet
alone, or a person is murdered by an over zealous police department for believing and saying what they think.

Nor it reminds people of the very real fact the very thin line
between speaking and jail for people who believe in their freedom of
expression is as close and fragile as a border a few miles away.

Here are my thoughts on the other contestants and what I said after the panel… blah blah blah.. πŸ™‚
