Politics, Art, feeling tired

Awaiting a Democratic Hong Kong

Dear, xxxxx

(deleted)

Things is a little strange over here. Very
concerned about the politics. I think it’s time to get
a foreign passport. I really like hong kong sometimes,
but it totally lacks good art institutes and China
creeps in day by day and our government officials suck
up to them more and more. It’s really frustrating and
disconcerting.

As you can see, I have spent a lot of time writing
about politics and democracy in HK. Ending up in some
international magazines talking about the issue of
freespeech and internet censorship. I just feel so
tired of watching it get worse and trying to make a
point that it’s not okay. I try my best. I have been doing
that blog since pretty much the day the democratic
movement gained momentum.

I feel my tenacity to keep fighting
a losing battle to be slipping. I have other things I want to do, no
less creating art. Although I think no matter where I
am. I will probably being art in relation to hk, and
possibly the democratic movement. Sadly tho that means
I will always be fitted into the box of "hong Kong
artist." instead of international artist.

Sigh.

It’s better than not doing anything though.

Oh, well

Write soon.

It’s always nice to touch base with you.
