Wishing Tree Not Feeling Well :(

Glutter’s Hong Kong

2the_wishing_treeTai Po’s Wishing tree lost a big branch a few days ago, and squished two people who was standing underneath. Today the news said it’s sick and only has 30% chance of surviving. It seems too many people are throwing oranges tied to lucky paper with a red string inbetween hoping their dreams will come true. I think there was some voting thing going on a few years ago to choose that to be the lucky tree. Maybe they should rotate among different ones every few months instead. My cousin was just saying she’s never been and we were planning to go next week. 😦

Oh well, it’s really hard. I think last time I went I couldn’t get the orange up at all, while knocking a few people’s ones off the branches. I can’t remember what I wished for. I hope it’s come true by now, as it’s closed for business!!!

  1. Yan,
We had a tree like that where kids threw their old pairs of tennis shoes tied at the laces.
    It’s ‘deader than a door nail’ now………..
