Waking Up to Gun Fire of Fallujah

For two days in a row now, I wake up to the sound of gunfire. Brutt Brutt Brutt.. Not outside my window because it’s outside someone else’s window in Fallujah, Iraq.  (BBC Reporters Log)

I wake up to it because my alarm is set to BBC World Service on the dot of the hour. Which means I wake up to the top story of every day. For the last two, it’s about a war.

All I can say is that I am so so sorry for the people who are currently being shot at because their neighbours happen to be extremists psychos.
Nothing like hearing gunfire (even if it’s virtual) first thing in the morning to hit home that war sucks and it’s a stupid human trait that should be bred out.

Did you know that only two kinds of animals practice organizational warfare that has nothing to do with the food chain? Chimps and us.  They used to think it was just us, but we found out our closest genetic cousins do it too! Except they don’t own machine guns. Aren’t we all so proud….
