My cousin told me that at some point in human evolution, we discovered fire and started eating meat, which gave us enough energy to evolve. I am currently on a health kick so I am devolving as we speak. So I have not much to say…
So here are the list of books I am currently reading. (Yes, at the same time).
No Exit and Other Plays: Jean Paul Sartre
What is hell, but three people torturing each other for eternity by their mere pressence? The ideals versus the stragtegies of European Communism in WWII. Existentialism, angst, inequality, the weakness of humans, the desperate need to feel alive. You know.. it’s sartre after all.
Living History: Hillary Rodam Clinton
Was there a right wing political attack towards the Clintons to undermine the first democratic presidency in 12 years? Hillary thinks so, and makes a good case for it from her personal experience. It’s the first biography I ever read that I actually remember the events, interested to see it from the point of view of the person it was hapenning to.
From Freedom to the Future: Nelson Mandela’s Collected Speeches
(Edition seems to be only from the UK)
I am not a crazy idealist, Nelson Mendela thinks the same way, he’s well respected and in the end triumphed
I’m looking forward to reading Bill Clinton’s autobiography that’ll be released in a month or two.

“No Exit” is classic, and inspired a short story of mine where I imagined Hell to be an arbitrary sort of damnation. I even wrote screenplay dialogue and filmed some of the scenes with actor friends, just to see if I got the cadences right.
“Nausea” is my Sartre favorite. Is that in the collection?

No Nausea is not in the collection, but i will check it out! As for the other clinton’s book. Yeah, me too. Bill often comes up with amazing ideas and words. I like listenning to his speeches. I respect him and Hillary a lot. The more I read the memoirs, the more angry I am at, with all the things that happenned to them to undermine their goals, and what they achieved.

Hillary and Bill both come up with great works of fiction. Remember, Bill was indicted for purjury, and Hillary had “no idea” how she got ahold of several thousand FBI files on political opponents of her husband… Is there any detail on that info in her book? nope. Bill has had 2 years to get his story straight… I wonder how he defines ‘is’ and ‘sex’ in his book?
