I just spent an hour looking for an article I KNOW exists in the SCMP coz I have a hard copy of it somewhere in my apartment but I can’t remember exactly where. I know all the key words, the year it appeared and it’s coming up BLANK or filled with rubbish that don’t even include the top “key word.” I have never used to worse search engine in my life. I can’t even describe it, each search you have to put down the dates AGAIN and the functions such as “and” “or” don’t work properly along with the fact that they ONLY give you the newest articles. Grrrrrrr. Whoever designed it, you gotta be kidding me. You make me ashamed to ever have been part of that industry. This is our ONLY major English paper and they can’t even get a PAID archive to work in a functional way. I want to GIVE YOU MONEY SCMP. I am sooo pissed off.
SCMP Archive Search REALLY SUCKS.
