Looks Like Kerry Might Win. Yay!

Looks Like John Kerry Might win not just the nomination but possibly the election. The polls are showing he has a seven percent approval rating ABOVE George Bush II already.

I dunno. I read a piece by him ages ago and I liked his policies, I liked his take on international affairs as well as domestic ideas. Then he dissapeared and Wesley Clark and the other dude (can’t even remember his name now) seemed to be leading. Which I was a little dissappointed. I rather have him running the US. I think it’s better for the world. The way I see it. Find the most liberal person out there, not someone centralist and get all those really disatisfied people to go out and vote. That’s the way to get Dub-bue-egh out of power. Out out damn Bush. Out!

  1. I like Kerry, too. When he sort of faded away for a while, Wesley Clark and Howard Dean took the lead. But Clark has fallen by the wayside, with democrats focusing on his ambiguous stand on a number of issues, and his having been supported by republicans at various times. Dean’s popularity reached its critical mass before any votes were case; he’s been losing popularity fast, especially since his big loss in Iowa.
Dean’s shriek is already being grafted by DJs onto pulsating dance tracks.
An mpeg clip of the shriek from the San Francisco Chronicle:

  2. Thanks for the link, Glutter. It gives me hope. I’m afraid of what’ll happen if Bush is reelected; the global economy will definitely go to hell.

  3. I will vote for anyone who wins the Democratic nomination, but I disliked Kerry on the grounds that he voted for the war and for the Patriot Act. (Too much flip-flopping.) Granted, I just looked at his NYTimes profile and I like him a lot more now that I know his stances. I was leaning towards Dean because he was antiwar from the get-go, and seemed to get what it was that everyone’s so angry about. Also, he has a proven record of having things work–Vermont has civil unions for gay people and it’s relatively crime-free, education is near the top, etc. The media circus that was made of his campaign was very unappealing to watch. Anyway, that’s my two cents. 😛

  4. Kerry was the ULTIMATE inside anti-war leader following Vietnam, delivering platitudes like, “how do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?” How does a man move from this moral base to voting ‘yes’ on Iraq II? Considering the intel contradictions (US to US, UN to US, UN to Iraq) prior to the vote, ‘oops, I trusted bad intel’ is not an acceptable response from anyone, especially Kerry.
