Not the SCMP has announced their bore of the year winners. I am sooo bummed as *I* wanted to be the winner of the most unreadable HK blog. I wasn’t even nominated so how could I win!!!! POUT.
So in order to make myself FEEL better, I am going to do something about it.
As all competitions are made up and participated by whoever feels like creating some friction or drama or whatever in our dull lives. I figure I am going to announce Glutter’s Worse HK Blog of the Year Contest.. and then you know.. simply proclaim myself as the winner.
There: GLUTTER IS THE WINNER OF THE WORSE HK BLOG OF THE YEAR CONTEST!!!
koooo.. done..
I am off to proclaim my afternoon ice coffee the prize I get for winning such a prestigious competition!
I feel so much better…

Best Bore-Watching Location
PS. I forgot to say, the below is one of the most funny and true statement about HK expat life I have ever read and I am very sorry I didn’t come up with it myself.
There was no shortage of nominations for Best Bore-Watching Location, he said, including Lan Kwai Fong, Lane Crawford, the Foreign Correspondents Club, Legco, the Cultural Centre and the airport arrivals hall.
The winner, however, proved to be a place in cyberspace. IceRed.com attracted bores of all shades from Hong Kong and around the world. “Indeed,” said the judges, “it sometimes feels as if every bore on the planet has turned up at the same time. Even allowing for the use of multiple nicknames by many individuals, it is truly frightening just how many terminally monotonous people spend time on this website.”
I have to admit I can be found in the Cultural Center, the arrival halls of many different airports, the LC shoe department, LKF if I am dragged into it, FCC when my friend is playing the Trumpet, and even inside Legco when I go have lunch with my auntie.
However, you will never find me in Ice Red, so don’t bother ever wondering if that person is me, although I have been accused of being someone who posted something at some time on a few occasions. It’s not. The last time I was there was during the dotcom bust when I was spreading vicious truths about my bosses and co-workers. I have sinced reformed.
