China’s National Day

Hong Kong: Post Colonial Issue

October First
It’s my National Day Today

Today, I feel I should give props to the feelings of happiness I have being a Chinese Citizen opposed to being a Colonial Subject. Remind myself how pleased I was when I got my Chinese passport and realized I could do away with the BNO (British National Overseas) with the large gold crown on its cover. The joy I still have, when I remember none of us has to listen to “God Save the Fucking Queen” on this soil again and pretend to care. Today I want to acknowledge all the good things about no longer being ruled by someone else.

(Even if my UNELECTED government is problematic and that I have serious issues with the Communist Regime.)

At the end of the day,

I love China, and being Chinese.

It means something to me.
